The EIDI format is associated with a set of tools used for 3D computer graphics, called EIAS (Electronic Image Animation System) and consisting of several software programs popular particularly among visual effects artists and architects. The EIAS pack has similar functions with Autodesk's Maya, 3D Studio Max or Softimage. EIDI files are, however, less known and used than other 3D graphics ones, so they are currently considered uncommon and can only be viewed with a limited number of programs.
