An ST7 file represents a RAW image created with the ST-X model of the SBIG CCD camera. This is a thermoelectrically cooled imaging camera that can be used in astronomy, color photometry, medical imaging and a few other scientific and industrial domains. ST7 is part of a larger group of formats, including ST5, ST6, ST8 and STX. All are considered rare and might be difficult to open outside specialized software.
